Mutual Bank named lead sponsor of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth's Women's Expo
May 31 event will raise funds to continue Habitat's "American Dream" mission
WHITMAN, MA, ISSUED MAY 26, 2009 - Mutual Bank, a community bank with nine branches throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and on Cape Cod is lead sponsor of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth (HFHGP) Women's Expo, having donated $5,000 to the event, to be held on May 31st from 12 to 4 p.m. at Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, MA.
More than 30 local women-owned businesses will showcase their wares during the event, funds from which will be used to continue Habitat's mission to end homeless poverty on a local level.
Glen White, CEO of Mutual Bank announced that for every checking account opened during the Bank's Grand Opening Week held earlier this month, the Bank donated an additional $10 to the fundraising event.
"It is with great pride that we announce Mutual Bank's participation in this vital fundraising effort; we encourage area residents to attend what will be an enjoyable day," said White.
"Events like the Women's Expo are critical to the continued success of HFHGP," said Donna M. Fernandes, the organization's Executive Director.
