John Duval Re-Elected to Board of Directors At Mutual Bank

WHITMAN, MA, ISSUED JUNE 18, 2009 - John Duval, owner of a local pharmacy in Whitman, has been re-elected to another three-year term on the Board of Directors at Mutual Bank, a community bank with nine branches throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and on Cape Cod.

In this role, Duval, who has been a board member since 1995, will help guide the policy and direction for the independent, mutually-owned bank.

Duval owns the third-generation family business known as Duval's Pharmacy; several years ago, he opened a second pharmaceutical business known as Apothecare, which provides specialized services for hospices, group homes and assisted living residences.

Originally from Brockton, he has lived in Whitman since 1960. Duval is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and is a member of a number of industry organizations, including the Massachusetts Independent Pharmacy Association, the National Community Pharmacy Association, and the Northeast Pharmacy Services Corporation, where he formerly served as Chairman of the Board.

He also serves as Chairman of the Whitman Board of Health.

Duval resides in Whitman with his wife, Dorothy; he is the father of three children and has eight grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and traveling.

"I'm proud to be affiliated with a local bank that always places its customers first, particularly in these challenging economic times," said Duval.
