Mutual Bank launches new website; upgraded look and functions will streamline online banking and better reflect the Bank's growth

WHITMAN, MA, ISSUED JULY 20, 2009... Mutual Bank, a community bank with nine branches throughout southeastern Massachusetts and on Cape Cod, today announced the launch of its new, updated website, www.MyMutualBank.com.

Glen S. White, CEO of Mutual Bank, said that the new website "better reflects the great institution that is Mutual Bank." In addition to a new, sleek graphic look, the site introduces features and functions that will make it easier for customers to do business with the Bank: streamlined navigation, more useful tools and more detailed information about Bank services.

Features of the website make it easier for customers to open accounts and apply for loans online including mortgages, equity lines of credit, and personal loans. Accounts available via the online process include checking, savings, money market accounts and certificates of deposit.

Additional upgrades include: (1) An expanded news section, with recent updates in the "About Us" section; (2) Financial calculators; (3) Business Banking, showcasing a growing suite of services for local business owners.

White recalled that Mutual Bank's first website was built in 1997 and upgraded in 2006. "The world of the web has continued to reinvent itself," he said, adding, "As our Bank continues to evolve and change, it is essential that we have a site that reflects that change and represents us well." He added, "As online banking becomes more important, we believe the tools and functions of our site will be of great value to our customers."
