Mutual Bank premier sponsor of Plymouth Public Library 6th Annual Taste of the Town

October 29 event to benefit numerous business-funded library programs

WHITMAN and PLYMOUTH, MA, ISSUED SEPTEMBER 20, 2009…Mutual Bank, a leading community bank with nine branches throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and on Cape Cod, will serve as premier sponsor of Plymouth Public Library Corporation's 6th Annual Taste of the Town.

Slated for Thursday, Oct. 29 at the Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor, the fundraising event will feature food and wine tastings from 20 popular local eateries and the chance to bid on an array of silent auction items. Proceeds will benefit a number of programs overseen by the Plymouth Public Library Corporation, including cultural and personal enrichment programs, children and youth programs, senior citizen and homebound and outreach services.

"We are delighted to have Mutual Bank as lead sponsor of the Taste of the Town," said Dinah O'Brien, Director of Plymouth Public Library and Community Resources. "Last year, as the Bank was preparing to open a branch here in town, it took the step of being our major sponsor and it is wonderful to have them repeat this kindness."

Mutual Bank donated $5,000 to the event, the highest level of sponsorship for the fundraiser. This is the second year that the Bank has been the event's premier sponsor.
