In this role, he will help guide the policy and direction for the 117-year old, 4-branch independently-owned savings bank.
Duval owns the third-generation family business known as Duval’s Pharmacy; several years ago, he opened a second pharmaceutical business known as Apothecare, which provides specialized services for hospices, group homes and assisted living residences.
Originally from Brockton, he has lived in Whitman since 1960. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and is a member of a number of industry organizations, including the Massachusetts Independent Pharmacy Association, the National Community Pharmacy Association, and the Northeast Pharmacy Services Corporation, where he serves as Chairman of the Board.
Additionally, he serves on the Foundation Board of Brockton Hospital, the Whitman Board of Health as chairman, and the Massachusetts Presidents’ Committee of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.
He resides in Whitman with his wife, Dorothy; he is the father of three children and has eight grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and traveling.
