WHITMAN, MA, ISSUED JANUARY 28, 2008…Mutual Bank is undertaking additional renovations to its 100+ year old flagship building, located at 570 Washington Street in Whitman Center.
Glen S. White, CEO of Mutual Bank, said that the ongoing work at the bank’s Whitman location, scheduled for a May completion, is the third and final phase of the complete interior renovation of the building, which has been a two-year project. This last phase comes on the heels of new, more driver friendly exterior signage for the building and the installation of protective awnings to help pedestrians during inclement weather.
The renovations will feature enhanced office space providing additional privacy for customers transacting business, an i-bank for online banking and bill payment in the branch, and a more spacious, comfortable waiting area.
During the renovation phase, the bank will continue to be open for business. Visitors to the familiar Whitman Center landmark will note that teller facilities have been relocated, temporarily, to the center of the building, and that building access will be through the front door which is closest to the parking lot. The ATM and drive-up window remain in service and should be available through most of the project.
“We have long been ardent supporters of renovation projects for Whitman Center,” said White, who added, “We believe our improvements will be of great benefit for our customers and should help with the revitalization of the center as well.”
