WHITMAN AND EASTON, MA, ISSUED March 19, 2008… William J. Morse of Easton was recently re-elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors at Mutual Bank.
In this role, he will help guide the policy and direction for the mutually-owned bank.
Morse is President and Chief Operating Officer of Mutual Bank. He formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Security Federal Savings Bank, and oversaw Security's merger with Mutual Bank in November, 2006.
Morse, whose career in the local banking industry spans more than 30 years, is a graduate of Bridgewater State College.
Morse serves on the Board of Directors of the Metro South Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Bankers Mutual Resource. He is a director of the School On Wheels, an organization that provides tutoring services to children experiencing homelessness. He has served on the Easton School Committee and is the former Chairman of MASSFIT (Massasoit/Financial Institutions Training) a collaborative of area community banks and colleges offering training programs to those in the banking industry. Morse is also the former Chairman of Massasoit Community College’s Board of Trustees.
