WHITMAN, MA, ISSUED March 24, 2006… Mutual Federal Savings Bank is the major sponsor this year for the Town of Halifax Annual Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Halifax Elementary School on Saturday, April 8. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, April 9.
This has become a tradition in Halifax, organized by the Halifax Youth and Recreation Commission. Richard Steele, Director, anticipates that more than 4000 eggs will be hidden, and he anticipates more than 300 children of all ages to take part in the festivities.
He said, "This is a large financial undertaking for the recreation Department and we are extremely excited about teaming up with Mutual Federal Savings Bank to organize this Egg Hunt Extravaganza." Events will include a moonwalk, face painting, egg tosses, jelly bean jar guess, and pictures with the Bunny, as well as the egg hunt itself.
