Bank takes strategic move to strengthen small business services program
WHITMAN AND FALMOUTH, MA, ISSUED MAY 14, 2008… Mutual Bank, a community bank with eight branches throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, has named Christopher Dickinson of Kingston as Business Development Officer.
This new position has been created as part of a strategic plan that Mutual Bank has launched to expand its small business services program. In this capacity, Dickinson’s responsibilities will include expanding the Bank’s small-business customer base, working with existing business customers on current and future financial needs, and introducing new business banking products and lending services.
Dickinson's offices will be located in the Mutual Bank Falmouth banking center, and he will maintain an ongoing presence at the Mutual Bank in Plymouth when that office opens later this year.
Dickinson has 15 years of experience in banking, with a focus on sales management, lending, business development, and wealth management. He was motivated to pursue a career in the industry by his father, who “against all odds, started his own bank in 1982 in New Hampshire.”
“My father’s passion and dedication to friendly service and community involvement drove that bank’s success each year for the next 23 years,” said Dickinson. “I realized that banking was ‘in my blood.’
“I am thrilled to return to a local community banking culture where friendly service is delivered each and every day at every branch office,” he said. “I look forward to supporting Mutual Bank’s success and continued efforts to give back to the communities where we live, work and play.”
Originally from Gilford, N.H. Dickinson graduated from Johnson & Wales University and subsequently received a finance degree from the New England College of Finance. He carries a series 6/63 NASD Securities license and is a graduate of the “Bank Exec” program offered through the Massachusetts Bankers Association.
He is an active member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and often spends weekends hiking the 4K peaks of the White Mountains.
“It is with enormous pleasure that we welcome Chris to the Mutual Bank team,” said Glen S. White, Chief Executive Officer of Mutual Bank. “Our bank's goals of superior customer service and market growth will surely benefit from Chris' experience and leadership.”
