WHITMAN, MA, ISSUED August 18, 2006… Mutual Bank, a leading independent community bank, has contributed $1,000 to the annual Massachusetts Bankers Association Charitable Foundation, Inc. campaign, a donation that designates the full-service bank as a Gold Sponsor.

Monetary awards will be granted by the Foundation to representative community organizations nominated by member banks. The amount of awards is dependent upon the level of contributions made by banks throughout the Association’s eight geographic districts. Last year a total of $110,000 was awarded to 16 worthy organizations throughout the Commonwealth.
