WHITMAN, BROCKTON MA, ISSUED OCTOBER 3, 2007… Mutual Bank, a community bank with 8 branches throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod, announces the promotion of Christine Silva of Halifax to the position of Branch Manager at its Brockton East Banking Center.

Prior to being named Branch Manager, Silva was the Assistant Branch Manager of the Brockton location. Silva joined Mutual Bank in 2000 as a part time teller.  Over the course of her career at Mutual Bank she has worked at the Whitman office where she was head teller and at the Halifax branch as its Assistant Manager.

Silva is a graduate of Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.  During her tenure at Mutual Bank she has attended a number of industry related seminars, including several on IRAs.

“I enjoy working with the large base of clients that come through our doors here at Brockton East,” said Silva.  “This is an exciting opportunity for me.”
